Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless America

Thanksgiving has come and gone another year. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got to spend special time with those you love. It has been a tough year for everyone. Grandparents and family members have died without the family around them. I understand the reason for this but it is still sad and hurtful. I have Renal Cancer and I am blessed that my daughters and grandsons are close enough to spend time with them. I cannot imagine if I died without being able to have them around my bedside. But not everyone is as fortunate. In fact, I read an article where some seniors in a nursing home said they would rather risk covid in order to see their families. Being alone AND sick has got to be the worst thing in the World. People should be allowed to make their own decisions without Government telling them what to do and what they can't do. And by the way, if you are one of those that are waiting for a President, Governor, Mayor or other elected official to show you the way,,then you have zero common sense and should stay out of the voting box. Left, Right or Center, use your own brain and your own decisions...if not, then why are you even walking the earth? Mentally lazy people and apathetic voters are the worst kind of people in the World. Sorry if the truth hurts, deal with it.

I miss the American I grew up in. Yeah, we didn't have a perfect society and we had our share of problems but we worked together to solve them. If you had a beef with another kid, you met after school behind the gym and settled it with your fists. No one took a gun and shot up a whole school or neighborhood because they were "angry" or felt disrespected. You were polite and courteous to the police and they were usually polite and courteous back to you. You and your friends didn't burn down neighbor hoods and loot business while throwing stuff at the police. Not so today, just shows that more advanced doesn't translate to smarter. Quite the opposite. Idiocy and lunacy reign in today's world. Take some freaking responsibilty yourself and quit blaming your problems on everyone else.

In closing, let me say that I am PROUD to be an American and I love this Country despite our faults and shortcomings. A lot of you THINK you do, but your actions and your selfish attitudes show otherwise.  I know this is a little spicier than I usually post but I am so tired of our flag and our Country taking a beating from those that pretend to love the USA and really want to destroy Her. Yes, I am talking to you, liberals. If the shoe fits, WHICH IT DOES, then wear it! As for those of you that voted for Biden, you laid down with the dog so don't complain about your fleas. Trump may not be smooth and calm, but he is a true lover of America. Haven't seen any liberals shouting..USA USA USA!! Feel free to post proof to prove me wrong..I am waiting!! God Bless America, always!!!! Thank you for reading.

Scared for my children and grandchildren

Good day people. As you may know, I have been diagnosed with stage 4 renal cancer. I hope to begin my treatment soon so I can overcome this setback and get back to enjoying life once again. Any prayers and thoughts are appreciated.

Having cancer is scary. I have made peace with my life and being a Christian, If, for some reason, the treatment does not go as planned, I am ready to go see my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I cannot wait to see Heaven and all its glories. But, I am also concerned and sad. I will be leaving behind some awesome friends,(Jason and Andrew among them) family members and a wonderful and loving lady named Janie. She is the love of my life. Always has been even though things did not work out the first time around for us. She is an awesome lady and great companion. But my real concerns are with my chidren and grandchildern. My two daughters are both in their 30's and I think they will be OK if the time comes. I have a 10 year old and a 6 year old grandson. I pray their parents and their grandma(Janie) will help them understand that this should be a time of joy and celebration, not sadness. I will always be with them even if they do not see me. But, NONE of that is going to happen cause if the VA gets off their butt I will beat this thing worse than Reagan beat Mondale in '84.

Sorry for the long lead in and personal stuff but I am also concerned for my children and grandchildren for other reasons.  The USA I love and grew up in is slowly vanishing. Personal responsibilty is being ignored by some and they want to blame everyone else for their plight in life. No job?Not my fault. I sit at home and collect benefits and eat candy all day so I am doing my part. No food or housing? Not my fault. Isn't the Government suppose to supply me with I phones, big screen tv, food stamps, condos and other NECESSITIES that make my life easier? I stubbed my big toe on the sidewalk the other day. Isn't the city responsible for my medical bills and punitive damages. I spilled hot coffee on myself at McDonald's the other day..guess I will sue them for me bring so clumsy. My great great great grandpa had a mule that was shot by a Union soldier...I want my mule back and I want it at TODAYS price, not the 1863 price. I love Star Wars more than Star Trek so I am going to deface that statue of Capt. Kirk and maybe even tear down that statue of the Enterprise. I could go on and on but hopefully you are smart enough people to get the drift as to why I am so concerned.

The Country is degrading. Journalism is dead, and the our fellow citizens have decided that voting is more of a chore than a privilage. Racial divide has increased the last 20 years because Politics has become a game where leaders play sides against each other. Money and power are more important to our elected officials than the will of the people. I have no doubt that under a strong liberal rule that values, beliefs and freedoms will be attacked constantly with a good possibilty of being eliminated. Socialism and Govt. control of everything is just ahead at the next sign post. The thing that is so frustrating is getting fellow citizens to see this and understand that their freedoms are in danger and their families are in danger. But hey, as long as we keep getting free cheese and I phones..who cares? Right? I just pray that my family and esp. my grandchildren survive the upcoming civil and military unrest that is probably going to include some sort of a civil war. May God help us all. Pray for your families and pray for your Country. Thank you for reading. Any and all comments are welcome, regardless of ideology.

Now what?

I've held off on posting anything about the election because I haven't come to a decision in my own head how I feel about it just yet. There's a lot that seems to be questionable, but at the same time, we can't question our process just because we don't like the result. Regardless, I have to admit that my electoral map was pretty far off. Of course I wasn't alone. I saw polls that had Biden winning states by as much as 17 points, only to see them divided by a few thousand votes. I'm not sure most pollsters even make a legitimate effort, but Donald Trump may well be the most difficult president to poll or predict in the history of our country. No excuses though. I got it wrong.

Where do we go from here?

That's the million dollar question. I think there's very little chance this election is overturned. And for the overall health of our country, I think that's probably a good thing. Don't get it twisted. I think Donald Trump has been a far better president than Joe Biden will be, but we have to be able to trust our elections on some level.

That trust is hard to come by when I see republican vote count watchers routinely turned away or kicked out. It's hard to come by when I see postal whistleblowers put on administrative leave for exposing corruption. It's hard to come by when I see cardboard being put over windows so no one can observe the counting even from outside the building.

I find it very difficult to believe that vote counting activities are being hidden from view because the people doing the counting are on the up and up. As I asked my significant other a few days ago, "Did you hide from your parents when you were reading the Bible or when you were smoking a cigarette?" The answer is obvious. There is no reason to hide doing what's right. It's when we are doing something we shouldn't that we try not to be seen.

This belief is reinforced by the fact that we now know that the Democrat National Committee and Hillary Clinton paid for a false Russian dossier, used to spy on candidate and later president Trump. This level of cheating makes Richard Nixon look like a harmless choir boy. It is the most egregious and heinous crime committed against the United States since Benedict Arnold's treason. It is made all the worse by the fact that NO ONE has been punished for it.

Liberals don't view elections the way conservatives do. Conservatives hope the rightful winner of an election takes office. Liberals want their guy or gal to take office whether or not they actually won. That explains the dossier. That explains the hiding of vote counts now. That explains why the Supreme Court will be packed, D.C. and Puerto Rico will be added as states, and tens of millions of illegal aliens will be made citizens. It's not about the country for them. It's about raw, unchallenged, unabashed power.

That is why it's so devastating to me that Joe Biden won this election. Soon my voice will be gone. Yours will too. So will that of anyone who dares to challenge the leftist authority. You think that's an exaggeration? We've already seen statues torn down because the leftists need to rewrite our history and silence any opposing voice. We've seen riots nationwide because the leftists have to get their way, be it by election or by force. They don't care which. We've been called everything from racists to smelly Walmart shoppers for four years in an effort to minimize our voices.

Furthermore, we can look forward to the loss of our energy independence causing gas prices to spike. We can get excited about the stock market plunging as our taxes go up and Biden enacts his proposed six-week national lockdown. I guess we can get pumped about the fact that every minority group -- each of which has seen its most prosperous four years in U.S. history -- will be struggling again. I suppose we can get on board with more wars for oil and new conflict, which we haven't seen in four years. And I'm sure if we stand against any of it, the country will be set on fire again.

I just wonder if conservatives will finally stand against any violence that may ensue. If so, I guess my next column will be more like one of those old letters soldiers sent back home during the first Civil War.

You want to run a negative campaign? Probably not a good idea.

American political history dictates that if you're clearly losing an election, the best -- if not only -- thing you can do is go negativ...
